The ADPIE Model

This is the phases in the ADPIE model and what we would like to accomplish during each phase. Our research may only get to the Planning stage, but maybe further, or maybe another group of students will take over our research.


Assessment- During this phase we will fill out our IRB application for funding and create and conduct 300 surveys, in a random convenience sample.
Diagnosis- During this phase we will evaluate our surveys and determine what the public knows about periodontal disease and stroke.
Planning- During this phase we will set goals about what we would like to accomplish and develop a blueprint for our educational program (options include a website, flyers etc.)
Implementation- During this phase, if we get this far, we would like to begin the program and make changes as we see needed.
Evaluation- During this phase we will measure our goals to see if we are accomplishing what we inteded to, and continue to make changes.
